All paints by necessity contain some synthetic chemicals, for instance water based paints require a preservative to keep them ‘fresh’, otherwise the paint would go off before it even reaches your home!
The preservative we use contains a mixture of BIT (1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one) and a reaction mass of CIT (5-chloro-2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one) and MIT (2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one) (3:1) as the active ingredients, in minimum quantities.
