Some eagle-eyed viewers may have spotted Earthborn paint used on
ITV’s This Morning as part of
Georgina Burnett’s amazing transformation of a space in children’s hospice
Noah’s Ark. Georgina Burnett is no stranger to DIY, interiors and sustainable projects. So when she approached us for help on this project– we were more than happy to assist!
A space everyone can benefit from
Noah's Ark offers clinical and holistic care for seriously ill children, providing care for over 350 children and their families every year. After meeting with residents at the hospice, their families and the staff – Georgina wanted to create a lively and uplifting playroom that everyone could benefit from.

Wanting to keep the space functional, Georgina approached Earthborn to use our
Eggshell No.17 paint for its durability and washability (important for infection control). With virtually no VOC’s this meant the team also didn’t have to worry about any nasty smells whilst decorating and meant the room could get back in use as quickly as possible without any detrimental effects on the people using the room.
Inspired by nature
Inspired by nature, Georgina wanted to bring the outside in as the theme of the room – which meant that our palette of colours was perfect for the job.
Gingham and
Dorothy were used to create a crisp blue sky and colour
Eyebright was dabbed on to create cotton candy clouds. Green hues
Hobby Wood,
Grasshopper and
Cricket were used to create a rolling landscape that spanned across each wall. A crafted tree is the main focal point, flowing onto the ceiling with painted leaves in our green hues dotted around its branches.
Magical escape
The finished room has a feel of an outdoor play area with cleverly selected furniture completing the look. The transformation offers a magical escape from the real world and provides a safe place for children and their families to relax and unwind.
We just love this transformation and it might even give you some inspiration for your own kids play area or bedroom! If you missed it, don't worry
