Our Claypaint is a luxurious, ultra matt interior paint that’s made with our unique eco friendly clay recipe.
This hero product has so many strengths: it’s virtually VOC free, acrylic, oil, and odourless, vegan, and even helps minimise condensation and deter mildew.
Plus, it’s super easy to apply, offers great coverage, and is safe for children, babies and pets.
All of our paints, from the original Claypaint to our Lifestyle, Eggshell, Eco Chic, and Silicate Paint ranges, are breathable.
This means moisture doesn’t get trapped under the paint surface.
Instead, air and water vapour can flow freely, preventing bubbles, peeling, and bigger issues with your walls.
As your walls naturally move and small cracks appear, breathable paint allows moisture to escape, reducing potential damage to your home.
VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) are gases that can be released from certain solids and liquids during manufacturing.
They include a variety of chemicals that can have health impacts, from irritating your eyes, nose, and throat to more serious health concerns.
Even low levels of VOCs are not great for the environment or your health.
In the UK, a paint with low VOCs usually has between 5g/l to 30g/l, which is still pretty high.
At Earthborn, we take this seriously. By carefully choosing our ingredients, which we list on every tin, we minimise VOCs to less than 0.5g/l (except our isolating primer, which is still low at 10g/l).
This makes our paints super safe for use at home.
We make sure our paint doesn’t give off harmful emissions or harsh smells.
So, once you’ve painted a room with Earthborn paint, you can use it right away without worry.
This is especially important for kids’ bedrooms or playrooms.
Our Claypaint, with its high clay content, also helps destroy airborne odours and contaminants, reducing dust and allergens.
