Room orientations are important when choosing Nursery paint colours

North Room orientation icon

North facing

Warm colours like yellows, reds, and oranges work well for a North facing nursery.

As North facing rooms are usually darker as they receive less natural light.

Colours with warm undertones work well if you’d prefer a more subtle colour to brighten the room.

West and East Room orientation icon

East and West facing

East facing rooms normally get natural light in the morning while West facing rooms are lighter in the afternoons.

Making neutrals a safe choice for both room orientations if you’d like to make the most of the natural light in your nursery all day.

South Room orientation icon

South facing

If you have a South facing Nursery – you have creative freedom!

This room orientation gets sunlight all day making almost any colour works well.

To balance out all the natural light choose blues, purple, violets or colours with cooler undertones.
