Vinyl Acetate Ethylene or VAE is an ingredient widely used as a binder in the production of adhesives, paints and coatings. It contributes to the film-forming properties, adhesion to surfaces and durability of the coating.
At Earthborn we use VAE in our Claypaint, Eco chic, Lifestyle, Eggshell No.17 and Eco pro matt emulsion because it provides very good adhesion, flexibility and water resistance. VAE is considered environmentally friendly as it is a water-based polymer with low VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions.
It is commonly used as a sustainable alternative in various applications and is in line with our strict environmental standards and Ecolabel accreditation.
