REAL HOMES | A kitchen update by Pandora Maxton

If you follow us on Instagram then you’ve probably seen us share Pandora’s Maxton’s stunning home. We think there’s nothing quite like real life inspiration, especially when using Earthborn paint. When Pandora approached us about using our paints in a new project, we were more than happy to help!

An opportunity to play with colour

Talking about her latest project, Pandora tells us “We’ve recently built a lodge in our garden. I’ve used a fairly neutral pallet inside my home so all my furniture, art and artefacts would stand out.

The lodge was an opportunity for me to have fun and play with colour.”

Colour choices

Pandora explains the benefit of using our bold green colour, Hobby Wood, to create a distinct zone; “I’ve used Up Up Away on several projects including my main kitchen. It is a lovely warm off white so decided to use it again on the walls in the lodge.

“The lodge kitchen, dining area, and living area are all open plan so I wanted the kitchen to stand out from the rest of the interior.

For this reason, I used stand out colour Hobby Wood, on our walls and kitchen doors as the green is a fresh bright green which works really well as a contrasting hue.”

Tying it all together

Taking inspiration from forest green Hobby Wood, Pandora tells us “I teamed it with a Zellige Tile from Bert & May in a similar colour.”  Matching your wall and tile colours really helps to bring the room together and provide a polished finish.

Reflecting on her completed project “It’s refreshing to use bolder colours sometimes and it goes so well with my brass accessories too.”

The finished project!

Pandora sums up the project; “I love using Earthborn mostly for their eco credentials. I am so pleased with the colours and the quality of the paint.”

“The green I’ve used is so striking and I’ve had so many lovely comments about the kitchen in the lodge”.
