This year’s Ideal Home Show was jam-packed with sustainable brands, innovative technology and fresh new interior trends. We’ve rounded up a few of our favourite highlights from the show so you can be in the know from the comfort of your own home.
We’re happy to see that nature inspired interiors are set to continue being popular throughout 2023. ‘Biophilic design’ is the design movement that focuses on connecting us and our homes with nature, promoting peace and positivity. This look can be achieved by selecting an earthy colour scheme and choosing natural furnishings and accessories as shown in ‘The Great Escape’ space at the show. Be sure to maximise natural light and surround yourself with lots of greenery too. The result? A home at one with nature, that helps you to relax, reduce stress and enhance positivity.
Making waves at the Ideal Home Show is curves. Room set ‘Curve Appeal’ beautifully shows off the trend with its clever use of scallop trims and curvaceous accessories. Adding curves in your interiors can help to make a room feel more inviting whilst adding personality. Couple this with bang-on-trend sunset colours Peach Baby, Delilah, Humpty Dumpty and The Lido as shown here, and you can’t help but feel happy.
That’s right, you read it correctly ‘Spathrooms’. This trend has been popping up everywhere which is why it’s no surprise that it was chosen as one of Good Home’s room sets. Spathrooms are hybrid spaces combining the traditional bathroom with the luxury of a spa, to be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home! Fluffy towels, ambient lighting and natural scented oils all add to the spa experience. Opt for whites, greys and neutrals to recreate the serene feeling of a spa, as shown here, using Tom’s Bakery and Feather Pillow.
Since Pantone announced its colour of the year as ‘Vivid Magenta’ we’ve seen a sharp rise in the use of pinks in interiors. From pastel pinks to vibrant cerise – using any shade of pink will help towards creating a space that’s on trend and full of feel good energy. This kitchen room set at the Ideal Home Show uses our pastel pinks Cupcake and Piglet on the walls, with a mouthwatering aqua colour pop in The Lido on skirting.
Now more than ever, we’re aware of the impact that our everyday choices have on the environment. The Ideal Home Show was full of brands promoting sustainable products from interiors (like our eco friendly paint) to beauty and everything in between. We just loved @clothesdoctor – the sustainable laundry brands’ stand. Creating eco friendly laundry products that aim to care and prolong the life of our clothes. Clothes Doctor uses fully sustainable, natural ingredients and their packaging is not only gorgeous but infinitely recyclable. Who knew laundry could be this good?
